A situation often experienced by New Jersey drivers:  You pull up the gas pump and wait patiently for the attendant to approach your car so you can say “Fill it with regular. Cash please.”  But at least four minutes have gone by and no attendant is helping you.  “Where is this guy!?!”  You crane your neck to see if he’s on his way over.  That’s when you realize:  “Oh my god.  I’m in Pennsylvania.” ~AKH

(for those readers who are unaware, NJ law mandates full-service gas stations. PA has predominantly self-service stations.  For this reason and the significantly lower gas tax in NJ, I try to avoid purchasing gas in PA at all costs, getting to the point where I’m puttering over the state line with only a drop of gas left in the tank.)
