Natural Refrigeration

 

At work I’ve often struggled with the fact that the refrigerator is two flights of stairs down from my office. Should I want cream in the coffee I brew in my room, I have to go down and up said stairs and many times I’m just too lazy to do that. Thus I find myself reluctantly drinking black coffee. Mother nature, however, has temporarily solved my problem as for the last 2 months I’ve had a personal refrigerator on the roof just outside of my window. Not everything about this polar vortex is unfortunate. ~AKH

Today at work I have 2 small apples for snacking. One of them is bruised because last night I tried to “Aladdin” it and failed miserably. ~AKH

Correctional Dental Associates

I’m confused. Do they correct teeth problems or do they only perform dental services on individuals in the corrections system? ~AKH

So I had a cross-country flight yesterday, with a layover in Dallas. My flight from Seattle to Dallas was delayed, so I had to haul ass to make my connecting flight to continue on to Philly. With no time to spare, I made it, but I knew my checked luggage wouldn’t be so lucky. So needless to say, American Airlines is in the process of delivering my “delayed” luggage to my home. They actually have a very efficient tracking system. I was notified when my bag left Dallas, arrived in Philly, and was sent out for delivery. Next step: track the driver. This is my driver:

I have to laugh when the microwave tells me to “Enjoy my meal” when I’ve just reheated a plate caked with the remnants of cinnamon roll icing for the sole purpose of loosening the goo for consumption. ~AKH

Yesterday I chose to have a meal at Burger King because I heard that my all-time favorite BK sammy was back on the menu. I was delighted to see that the rumors were true and I happily ordered my Italian Chicken Sandwich. My order was taking a while, but I didn’t realize why until I opened the wrapper in the car. My Italian Chicken Sandwich, normally outfitted with an oblong roll, was sandwiched between two circular pieces of hamburger bun. I can only imagine the cook thinking “F! We’re out of long rolls. What do I do? What do I do?” Cook then sees the hamburger bun out of the corner of his eye and thinks, “That’ll do!” All I can say is that as a customer, I find that particular Burger King employee very resourceful. A for effort! ~AKH
